The 645th Regional Support Group is a regional sustainment formation of the United States Army belonging to the Army Reserve and based in Michigan.

History[]

The 645th Regional Support Group was formed on 31 December 1998 in the United States Army Reserve as the 645th Support Group. The group was later activated on 16 April 1999 in Southfield, Michigan. On 16 September 2006 the group was redesignated as the 645th Regional Support Group and subsequently reorganised. Elements of the group have deployed overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.[1]

Before 2016, the group was part of the 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary).[2] Later, the group joined the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), which it is part of today.[3]

In April 2011, the group deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan for a 15 month deployment.[4] In 2016, the group deployed once more to Afghanistan for a 10 month deployment.[5][6][7]
