The 4th Light Mechanised Division (French: 4éme Division Légère Mécanique) was a French division that active during World War II.
History[]
The 4th Light Mechanised Division was formed on 10 June 1940 in Rambouillet and the next day assigned to the 7th Army but on the 14th reassigned to the Welvert Mechanised Group. On the 19th they were assigned to the XVII Army Corps but returned on the 20th. On 25 June 1940 the division was disbanded.
The division's only commander was Colonel Roger-Alexander-Louis Leyer who became the Chief of the Army General Staff in 1943. The division's chief of staff; 10 June - 13 June, Captain de Villeneuve-Escalon and 13 June - 25 June Captain Daumont.

Because the division was never able to fully form, the organisation was not "organic". The structure was as follows;
