The 2nd Mechanized Brigade is a subordinate component of the Ground Forces of the Slovak Republic. The headquarters of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade is located in Presov.
Main task[]
The main task of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade is to "participate on fulfilling tasks of defence and protection interests of the Slovak and allied forces against militant and other threats. 2nd mb´s structure equipment and weapons systems were designed for leading offensive, defensive and stabilization activities in high tempo against armoured enemy units".
