The 24th Infantry Battalion (Cadre),[1] known officially as 24th Cadre Battalion, is one of the battalions of the Philippine Army, which is organic to the 702nd Infantry Brigade of the 7th Infantry "Kaugnay" Division. It is an infantry unit, and is the very first territorial based combat unit of the Army.[1]
The 24IB(C) specializes in Counter-insurgency Operations as well as CMO and co-operations.
The unit is primarily composed of CAFGU militiamen, and Army Reservists that were called to active duty.[1]
