History[]

The 1st Caucasian Cossack Division was a former cavalry division of the Imperial Russian Army that participated in World War I. The division consisted of cossack regiments from the Caucasian region of the Russian Empire. The division was part of the 1st Caucasus Army Corps during the war. The division participated in the Caucasus Campaign during the war.[1]
