The 18th Howitzer Artillery Division (18-я артиллерийская дивизия гаубиц) was an artillery division of the Imperial Russian Army. The division was short-lived but did serve a large amount for the time it was active.
In 1910, the Russian howitzer artillery divisions were activated. The 18th had the following structure:
- Regimental Headquarters
- 1st Howitzer Battery - Former 7th Battery from 23rd Artillery Brigade
- 2nd Howitzer Battery - from 8th Battery from 23rd Artillery Brigade
Upon formation, the division joined the 18th Army Corps and was based in the town of Luga. Just before mobilisation, the division was stationed in Luga still and assigned to the 18th Corps as the corps artillery division. Upon mobilisation, the division along with the corps moved to the division was assigned to the following armies: 6th Army (Capital Protection), 9th Army, 11th Army, and finally 7th Army. In August 1915, the division formed their 3rd Battery. In 1918, following the October Revolution, the division was disbanded.
