101 Battalion was a quick-reaction unit of the South West African Territorial Force. It was previously known as the Owambo Battalion. It was activated as 35 Battalion in 1978, and was redesignated 101 Battalion by 1984. It was disbanded upon the independence of Namibia in 1990–91.
