Nick Lee Xing Qiu is a Singaporean East Asian Supremacist who was arrested in December 2024 for plotting to attack mosques in Singapore. Nick was radicalized in 2023 after reading about Brenton Tarrant an Australian white supremacist who killed 51 Muslims and injured 89 others at two mosques and livestreamed the attacks in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2019. Nick wrote his own manifesto about his believe that East Asians are superior to Muslims and Malays. He got himself a tattoo similar to what Tarrant designed on his assault rifle and he got himself a t-shirt with a skeleton face representing death. He initially planned to get firearms but decided to use a knife due to Singapore’s strict gun laws. He also planned to set fire to the mosques and planned to attack his Malay Muslim neighbors and also planned to livestream the attacks. Someone discovered his manifesto online and reported him to the police which led to his arrest. It was reported that Nick had met another Singaporean online who would also be arrested for plotting to attack mosques in Singapore after three months and would be the third person arrested for plotting to attack mosques in Singapore. Nick is currently in rehabilitation program and he is the second person arrested for plotting to attack mosques in Singapore with first being a Singaporean Christian Protestant of Indian descent who was arrested in December 2020 for plotting to attack two mosques on 15 March 2021 the second anniversary of New Zealand mosque attacks and he was sent for rehabilitation in January 2021 and was released in January 2024 for good behavior.
