In 2007, one year after the Nepalese Civil War ended with a peace agreement between the Maoist Group and the Government of Nepal. Abhishek Raj Singh a Nepalese national who was born in 1978 fell into depression as he couldn't forget the fact that his father was killed by the Maoists. He and his two accomplices made plans that would haunt Nepal. Abhishek killed a Maoist rebel by bludgeoning him to death with a hammer then he fatally shot another Maoist rebel in Nepal before he fled to Uttar Pradesh, India. He continued his killing spree in India where he poisoned 3 people before he returned to Nepal in 2013 where poisoned a local and was later arrested but was released due to lack of evidence. In 2018, he poisoned another person and he got arrested again. Later his two accomplices were arrested for helping to conceal his crimes. Abhishek showed no remorse and he was sentenced to 75 years in prison while his two accomplices were given a lighter sentence. He is currently incarcerated and will likely die in the future during his imprisonment. He became one of the most notorious serial killers in Nepalese and Indian History.
