It was 15 February 1964 in Nepal, Durgananda Jha a Nepalese democratic fighter convicted of treason after trying to assassinate King Mahendra in 1962 woke up in the morning on death row in Kathmandu Central Jail. He took a shower and was given a last meal. He met his friends and relatives for the last time. He told them "do not worry, no one can stop republic now". Durgananda Jha looked at the guards and said he was ready. He was held by guards and taken to the gallows. The executioner placed a rope on his neck and stood beside the lever. The prison Warden looked at the time, he raised up his hand then he put down his hand. The executioner pulled the lever and the trapdoor opened. Durgananda Jha was hanged and his body was later taken down after the doctor pronounced him dead.
